When some 12-foot-long denizen of the sea yanks your line and gives you the ride of your life, and an hour later you're drenched in sweat cursing that last beer you had the night before, and you've got that beast by the short hairs next to your boat and it looks at you with that dark soulless eye as if to ask you if you've paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."
